Warmer Windows for Ilmington Pavilion

Improvement works have recently been completed at the Ilmington Pavilion with the replacement of two damaged and inefficient windows.

Published: 12 March 2026

The work was carried out after a number of regular users highlighted the difficulty of keeping the building warm during the winter months. The new windows have improved the condition and energy efficiency of the pavilion, helping to create a warmer and more comfortable environment for community activities.

The pavilion is a well-used facility supporting a wide range of local groups and events. These include junior football teams, the bowling club, and cricket clubs to name but a few. The building is also used as a music practice venue and serves as a base for trail races. It is estimated that around 500 people of all ages from the village and surrounding area benefit from activities taking place at the pavilion each year.

The project was supported by a grant of £1,250 from the Councillors’ Grant Fund at Warwickshire County Council. The Parish Council is grateful for the support provided through the grant, which will continue to benefit the community by improving the comfort and energy efficiency of the facility for many years to come.
