Ilmington Show
The Ilmington Show (formerly the Ilmington Fete) traditionally takes place every year on the village playing fields on Mickleton Road on the afternoon of August bank holiday. The 2024 show takes place on Monday 26 August.
About the show
Organised by a committee of volunteers, the Show has grown from strength to strength attracting over 4000 visitors for an afternoon of family fun with nearly £25,000 over the last 10 years going to a variety of local good causes large and small, including village charities, the Air Ambulance, Myton Hospice, and Shipston Home Nursing.
The show is a wonderful way to enjoy the last days of summer, with a stirring flypast of vintage aircraft, an impressive flower and produce competition, classic cars, bouncy castles, pig roasts, ice creams, beer and Pimms and a wide range of stalls.
The organisers always need willing hands to help on the day, and also appreciate help with planning and organisation. Many hands will make the next Ilmington Show a showstopper to remember. To get involved please contact Show Committee Secretary Susan Brock on 01608 682409.
