100th Binful of Soft Plastic Sent To Recycling
Ilmington Soft Plastics Recycling scheme celebrates!
Published: 28 July 2023

News from Ilmington Soft Plastics Recycling Scheme
Our 100th bagful of soft plastic has gone to recycling. That’s 100,000 litres saved from landfill in just five months!
Thank you to our bin monitors and to the 68 households who’ve embraced the scheme so wholeheartedly.
We now await news from Stratford District Council regarding their plans due to start for soft plastic recycling via the regular blue bin collection. Despite telling us it’s due to begin in August, there are still no details as to what items will be accepted.
In the meantime Phase One will continue. Please ensure your larger plastic bags are folded down as much as possible inside the bins. Thank you!
