Ilmington Horticultural Society

President: Miss Irene Sabin

The Society, which is affiliated to the Royal Horticultural Society, dates back to 1925 so this year it celebrates its 100th anniversary with two flower shows and spring and summer, plant stalls, lectures and garden visits which are open to all.

Shows 2025

This year’s Annual Show will take place on Monday 25 August 2025 at Ilmington Playing Fields on the Mickleton Road. Admission to the Horticultural marquee is free.

Anyone can enter whether they live in Ilmington or outside the village and there are special classes for children so all the family can join in. Schedules and entry forms are available at Ilmington Community Shop and on this website (soon).

You don’t have to be an expert grower, cook or artist but this is a real competition with trophies to be won. Have a go and enjoy producing the best flowers, vegetables, jams, cakes, wines, photos, and art and crafts.

Please contact the Secretary Tim Allen ilmhortsoc@gmail.com if you would like to know more about the show or any of our other events.

Enjoy the photographs of our previous events.
