Ilmington Horticultural Society

The Society, which is affiliated to the Royal Horticultural Society, dates back to 1925. Ilmington’s Horticultural Society does not have members but its committee organises garden visits and events such as plant sales that are open to all.

Its main activities are running a Spring Flower Show and an Annual Show of produce, flowers, cookery and crafts as part of Ilmington Show.

This year’s Annual Show will take place on Monday 26 August 2024 at Ilmington Playing Fields on the Mickleton Road. Admission to the Horticultural marquee is free.

Anyone can enter whether they live in Ilmington or outside the village and there are special classes for children so all the family can join in. Schedules and entry forms are available at Ilmington Community Shop and on this website (see below).

You don’t have to be an expert grower, cook or artist but this is a real competition with trophies to be won. Have a go and enjoy producing the best flowers, vegetables, jams, cakes, wines, photos and art and crafts.
