Community Infrastructure Levy
The Community Infrastructure Levy (CIL) is a charge that local authorities can set on new development in order to raise funds to help fund local infrastructure, facilities and services.
Local authorities must pass on 25% of this charge to a parish which has an adopted Neighbourhood Plan.
A parish council must prepare a report each reporting year (the 12 months ending 31 March) which states how much CIL has been received and how it has been spent. Those reports are published here.
