The new 123+ refuse and recycling service starts on Monday 1 August. The new service will be delivered to both Stratford-on-Avon and Warwick district residents through a joint waste contract with Biffa Waste Services Ltd.
Stratford-on-Avon District Council wishes to reassure all residents that everyone will get their waste collected even if they have not received the correct bin at the time of their first collection.
If residents have not yet received their food caddies, and have let us know this, they should be delivered in the next few days.
If you haven’t received your food caddy – food waste can be put into the garden waste bin temporarily if you’ve subscribed to the garden waste collection service. Otherwise, food waste can be placed in the grey bin until the new food caddy arrives.
If you haven’t received an information book or calendar – you can view collection dates and the schedule on the Council website – https://www.stratford.gov.uk/waste-recycling/when-we-collect.cfm
You can also download the Council’s app from www.stratford.gov.uk/app and collection dates will be in there from 1 August.
Councillor Ian Shenton, Climate Change Portfolio at Stratford District Council said: “This is a huge new contract and unfortunately, we have been hit with a few delays to our deliveries. I wanted to make sure we are keeping our residents up to date, and to reassure you that collections will continue, and you will get your new food caddies as soon as possible.
“We know that not everyone has access to the internet, so would ask you all to check in with your neighbours to keep them updated and let them know what’s happening.”
