Front Street Closed for Electricity Works
Front Street, Ilmington, will be closed on 17-18 April. This is the start of works to upgrade the village electricity supply.

National Grid has informed us there will be a road closure on Front Street on 17 and 18 April then 2-way lights from the 19 to 28 April 2023. This will be to interconnect two substations together in the short term to help with the demand. A full upgrade to reinforce the electrical network will commence later in 2023 .

Warwickshire County Council has made a Temporary Traffic Order details as indicated below:
Effect of Order
Front Street, Ilmington is closed to vehicular traffic between junctions of Ballard’s Lane / Washbrook Place and Bennett Place.
Reason for Order
To safely enable trenching in carriageway for reinforcement scheme.
Order Effective from: 17 April 2023 for up to 18 months or until works are completed, whichever is the sooner.
Anticipated Completion Date: 18 April 2023
Access & Diversion:
An alternative route will be signed and is available via:
Washbrook Place, Featherbed Lane, Darlingscote Road, Armscote Road, Front Street and vice versa.
