Three more councillors were elected to Ilmington Parish Council in June bringing the total to five. However, there is still one vacant seat remaining.
Being a councillor is a rewarding role, giving you the opportunity to influence local issues that matter to local people and make worthwhile improvements in the village.
If you are interested in serving as a Parish Councillor, please complete the casual vacancy application and return it to the clerk. Any questions, please contact the Parish Clerk or any of the councillors.
Candidates are reminded that, to join the Parish Council they must satisfy the standard election qualification criteria and live or work in the parish or within three miles of its boundary. Please contact Stratford District Council’s Elections Team if you need any further guidance on this aspect (call 01789 260208 or e-mail elections@stratford-dc.gov.uk).
The Parish Council hopes to appoint a new councillor at its meeting on Thursday 28 September.
