Published: 29 September 2021

Ilmington Parish Council invites candidates to apply for the office of parish councillor and help to make decisions on issues affecting its local area.

Ilmington Parish Council provides a range of services, like playgrounds, playing fields and grass cutting. We work with local organisations and other tiers of local authority to help to make the village a better place to live and work. Meetings are held monthly except in December, usually on the last Thursday of the month.

There are two vacant seats on the council at present. To apply to become a councillor, please write to the clerk briefly describing your interest in joining the council. Councillors must be over 18, an UK, EU or Commonwealth citizen AND be on the electoral roll for the parish OR live or work in the parish or within 3 miles of it for the previous 12 months. If you have any questions about eligibility, please contact the clerk.

If you would like to have a chat about what the council does, please contact the Chairman, Karen Peachey on 01608 682401.
