Who cuts the verges?
Within the village, the responsible party could be either be the district council, Orbit Housing, or the Parish Council.
All highway verges in the local area are the responsibility of Warwickshire County Council, but these are maintained by different organisations depending on their location.
Stratford District Council carries out mowing on behalf of the highway authority within villages including Ilmington: https://www.stratford.gov.uk/environment/grass-verge-cutting.cfm
Warwickshire County Council undertakes safety cuts of verges outside the settlements.
Ilmington Parish Council is only responsible for the grass cutting of the village greens, Stocks Bank, the playing field, and associated areas.
Areas of responsibility within the village are shown on the maps below. Please note that these maps were originally drawn up in 2014.
